LET’S MAKE IT FEEL FAMILIAR

What does a pageant actually feel like?

01

A conversation about you

Interview is your chance to share your personality, values and the cause you care about. Practice telling your story in your own words.

02

Time to get comfortable

Rehearsal helps you learn the stage and where to go. The directors will share the schedule and preparation instructions before pageant weekend.

03

Your moment on stage

Your competition categories depend on your division. Review the scoring, understand the wardrobe requirements and prepare one category at a time.

04

People to connect with

Meet women and young ladies with different stories and shared enthusiasm for service. Leave room for friendships alongside your preparation.

Do I need a coach or an expensive wardrobe?

Coaching is a personal preparation choice. If you’d like preparation support, Lisa Dean Boutique and Coaching is one of our official Texas International Platinum Sponsors. Contact the directors for information about connecting with Lisa Dean for coaching.

Before booking services or buying outfits, ask the directors what your division requires. Start with a budget that feels comfortable for you and focus on pieces that fit the guidelines and help you feel confident.

What if I’m nervous about interview?

Start with three things: who you are, what matters to you and why you want to compete. Practice aloud with someone you trust. You don’t need to sound like anyone else—your experiences are what make your story yours.

What should I do first?

Review your division and eligibility, then review the full fees. When you’re ready, complete the application. You’ll continue to Stripe for the $250 deposit; your remaining entry balance and separate required fees will still be due.

A LITTLE GUIDANCE

Every journey starts
with a question.

Do I need pageant experience?+

Whether you are exploring your first pageant or returning to the stage, start by learning about your division and what each competition category involves. Texas International celebrates confidence, individuality, and service—your story and the cause you care about are a meaningful part of the journey.

Review the scoring breakdown for your division, think about how you would introduce yourself and your platform, and contact our directors with questions about preparation. They can help you understand the next steps before you apply.

How do I begin?+

Start with the “Find your place” section and review your division’s age and eligibility requirements. Then complete the official application with the requested contestant information and review the registration terms before submitting.

Your first payment is a $250 non-refundable deposit, not the full registration fee. A remaining division balance is still due, and ad pages and optional purchases are separate. Visit our Payments page for the deposit, balance, and total entry fee for each division.

Once you have applied, begin preparing your personal platform, interview, and competition wardrobe. Contact the pageant team if you need clarification about requirements or your next payment.

What does the competition include?+

Every division includes Interview and Evening Gown. Interview gives you an opportunity to share your personality, values, and platform. Evening Gown is your opportunity to present yourself with confidence and poise on stage.

Princess and Pre Teen: Interview 30%, Evening Gown 35%, and Fun Fashion 35%.

Teen and Miss: Interview 40%, Evening Gown 20%, Fitness 20%, and Fun Fashion 20%.

Mrs. and Ms.: Interview 50%, Evening Gown 25%, and Fitness 25%.

Fun Fashion offers an opportunity to express your personal style, while Fitness highlights confidence and presentation. Expand your division in Find your place to review its scoring table, and ask the team about specific wardrobe and competition guidelines.

Can I become a sponsor?+

Yes—we welcome businesses and individuals interested in supporting Texas International and the contestants who bring it to life. Our sponsor recognition is organized into Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers.

Email the pageant team with your business name, contact information, and the type of support you have in mind, whether financial, products, or services. The directors can discuss available opportunities, tier requirements, and recognition details with you.

Visit our Sponsors page to meet the businesses helping make this experience possible.
